With this interview series, we aim to give you an overview of what life in a startup is like for a founder, what it means to be part of a community of like-minded people and to debunk some of the most common startup myths. So let’s dive into Diana’s startup experience.
Please describe what your startup life looks like
For me working in a startup is the life that suits me best. It’s always challenging and full of surprises but at the end of the day, you never get bored! Throughout the journey you find yourself doing things that you’ve never imagined you would do. A startup gets you learning new things every day and this is important in personal development as I believe a startup teaches you a lot about life in general.
What’s it like to work from TechHub Bucharest and be part of the tech community?
Being part of TechHub Bucharest is in itself an amazing experience which gives me a sense that I am part of a community of like-minded people. I often found myself looking for business or technical advice and every time there is someone willing to help me. I really enjoy both the technical meetups and the social events (such as the monthly Book Club and the Social Brunch) as they are a great way of socializing, brain-picking and being up to date with all the new cool stuff that is happening. I also collaborated with some of the founders and residents, and this helped me a lot when I was developing and validating my business.
JSLeague started from this community with the focus of providing higher education to developers and taking them from good to great, inspiring them to be leaders within their teams and unite them into developing solutions for real problems. We want to give developers from our community free access to the best tech trainers and the newest JS curricula throughout our JS workshops. We cover all JS tech stack and beyond, focusing on both the technical and soft skills by integrating Agile and Scrum methodologies with the help of our partners, Dovelopers. We are currently looking for a Junior Marketing Specialist.
